Ceda Xiong

I write worlds—on TV, in comics, inside games, and down your phone screen.

WHO THE H3LL?

Ceda Xiong writes stories that move fast, hit hard, and shockingly, people pay her for her troubles. She’s built a career shaping sharp, funny, female-driven narratives across television, narrative games, comics, and the wildly addictive world of vertical microdramas.

As a former management consultant and child of defectors from the Communist Party, rebellion was inevitable—and comedy was the on ramp. She started as a freelancer with bylines in McSweeney’s and TimeOut before ditching corporate life for stand‑up, a pivot that launched her into the Los Angeles writing scene.

Ceda has worked on acclaimed series including Queen Sugar, Harlem, Dynasty, Star, and All Rise. After winning the coveted Disney Writing Fellowship, she joined Hulu’s Maggie as a staff writer. In comics, she co‑wrote Blade Runner: Cascade, the best‑selling continuation of the iconic sci‑fi franchise.

Most recently, she has expanded into high‑volume commercial storytelling—writing and producing hit vertical microdramas and crafting top‑performing audio ads for Pocket FM, where her scripts helped drive massive user engagement across global audiences.

She is currently developing a one-hour procedural with Starlings Entertainment based on her time in management consulting, and separately co‑creating a horror feature with actress Liza Soberano and Third Culture Content.

Ceda is represented by attorney Mark Temple.
